Susan returned Friday morning from her visit with Christie's family. She was due in Thursday night but got a "bump"- a voucher for $400, a free overnight in a Clarion Hotel with a king size bed and 5 pillows, and a $14 food voucher. She felt very special.
Susan reports that Ashley's baby, Avery, is the best little great grand-daughter you could have. The Freir kids always give Susan a good time...but the night in the hotel to recuperate was helpful.
We are taking care of James and Sergei Shearer while their folks are traveling in Australia. They are very well mannered. Unfortunately, James had a car accident the day he was coming to our house so we are doing more running around with the boys than we anticipated.
We had Austyn Friday night and then Saturday morning was the Cub Scout Winter Games. The weather was ideal. Austyn, James, and the other Cubs had a fun time with the events and just climbing the snow mounds. The pack earned 3 first place ribbons, 1 second, 2 honorable mentions for the 10 events. Sorry for the poor quality of the phone camera picture.
Andrew and Sabrina had a family get together in Munising Saturday evening and spent the night in the Holiday Inn Express. We got to have their dog, Buster.
The dog sled race was this weekend. The start in downtown Marquette is always exciting, but I could not get anyone to go with me.
Keep an eye on Andrew and Sabrina's blogsite for a big announcement.
