Temple Day

Susan and I drove to Chicago Friday evening. Pat, Amber, and Griffin had been there for the week while Pat was at a conference. We had a action packed evening that culminated in a classic Euchre game. Tyler and I contested Bump and Hal. We were not getting any good cards at first and they went ahead 6 to 0 and then 8 to 2. But Lady Luck changed her fancy. We came back to a score of 9 to 9. I made hearts trump. We took the first two tricks, then they took two. It came down to the last card and I had a heart back. We took the trick, the hand and the game. Tyler learned to never give up.

Bumper continues his globe trotting ways with Abbott and his having an interesting life.

Saturday was a great day at the Temple. Harry the Eldest was there with his stake. He and Pat did a session at 10 while I was doing other work, then Harry and I did a session. Our ward's youth including Rebecca were there in the afternoon, so I helped with them along with Stuart and Beth. So it was a great family day/temple day. Sue and I drove home arriving about 1 am. Buddy was really excited to see us.
