Sadly All Together Again in Oregon

The family gathered to mourn the death of Janet's 5 year old granddaughter (Lydia's daughter), Sahara. Remarkably, Harry, John, Dick, Kathy, and I were all able to fly to Oregon to be with Janet, Terry, and their family as they grieved. The gathering was a non-Kodak moment, but these pictures from Janet and Terry's home have symbolic value.

Janet's garden includes this impressive rose bush that brings to mind the beauty of life and a symbol of love.

The Meyer's yard also has a large Redwood demonstrating the strength that comes of faith.

The pain is deep and the healing will be slow, but let us all pray that Janet, Terry, Lydia and their family will go forward with faith, hope, and charity, the pure love of Christ.

Dick just commented, "It is just beautiful, the way he did that.
