Sunday after church, I took Buddy on a two hour walk in the woods in ideal weather.
Labor Day morning, Andrew and Austyn, Stuart and James, and Travis Rogers (from church) and I canoed on the Autrain River. The weather was perfect with the temperature in the 60's and slightly overcast to keep away the glare of the sun. The boys did really well with their canoeing. A blue heron kept skipping ahead of us and there were numerous ducks along the way. I forgot the camera, so there is no photographic evidence of our good time.

In the afternoon, we attended the traditional Ward picnic at Whitney and Martha Johnson's home. It was a great time!
Austyn and James bury their friend Tyler on Johnson's beach.
