Brookfield Zoo

After the temple visit, we spent the night at members' homes in Batavia, then went to the Brookfield Zoo Saturday morning. I had never been there although I have heard of it all my life. It was not on our "bucket list," but I am glad to have been there. It was first built in 1930 (maybe a WPA project?) so it really wasn't as impressive as newer zoos like Milwaukee or Indianapolis, but still very good.

A great weekend in spite of the 8 hour drive (with numerous pit stops).
