Our visit coincided with the annual "Days of '47' celebration of the Mormon pioneers arriving in the Great Salt Lake valley. They put on quite a parade...lots of bands, elaborate floats. horses, etc. We had a nice shady viewpoint which was important as the temperature was headed to the high 90's. After the parade, we toured the LDS Visitors Center. We had been there before, but had not had time to look at the art and historical items. The picture is on top of the center.
For lunch we went to the Mayan Adventure. They have cliff divers as entertainment during your meal.
