Unexpected Visitors

I was under the weather this week with a cold that I was not shaking, so Wednesday morning, I decided to just stay in bed and rest. I was doing that quite successfully when my cell phone rang about 9:30. I was confused and then surprised to hear Jim Clary's voice saying, "I am here." I groggily said something like you mean here as in Marquette. He replied in the affirmative. He and Bev were vacationing with another couple, Frank and Pat Bailey from Rochester. Their modus operendi is to kind of get up and decide which way to go that day. So here they were in Marquette.
I arose from my sickbed, always being willing to share whatever I had with Jim, and Susan and I went downtown to meet them. We took them on quick tour of the highspots of town, Presque Isle, the Ore Dock, and the Dome, then had some juice while viewing the harbor. All is well with the Clarys and it was good to get acquainted with the Baileys.
They headed south, and I went home and laid back down for a couple of hours.
