This blog descends from the end of our trip to the beginning. It just came out that way.
Anna's new dolly gets acquainted with Angela's doll from her childhood.

Back to Frankenmuth Sunday evening. There were balloon events through the weekend. Friday evening, we went after the other activities, but the winds were excessive and no one lifted off. We were rewarded with quite a spectacle on Sunday, although Ben was intimidated by the size and proximity of the balloons. See the liftoff below.

Sunday we picnicked and Monday we swam at the apartment area.

Anna loves to use the camera herself, so here is her self portrait.

Good eating and good times at Turkeyville.

At Turkeyville, we had a spur of the moment rendezvous with Harry and Linda. More eating and walking some of it off. There was a large flea market and a country band on the grounds, so we enjoyed a relaxed time together.

Saturday, we made a visit to Turkeyville north of Marshall. The kids enjoyed the rides and animals.
We had a wonderful long Memorial Day Weekend with Angela's family in Clio. We drove down Thursday night as Angela wanted us to be there to babysit Friday morning. We arrived at 3:30 am Friday morning since I had a Scout function to attend Thursday evening.

Anna has had her heart set on going to "Splash Village" in Frankenmuth for some time. Since they will be moving from Clio to the UP in August, it was time to make good on the promise to go there "sometime." The admission fee to the area was rather steep, so only Anna and Susan went in the pool area, while Ben, Angela, Ethan, and I had the obligatory experience in gluttony at Zenders that Frankenmuth ("Chicamuth" as Ben calls it) is known for.
At the pool, there was a extended water slide, it went out of the building and returned. Anna was enthralled with it and took Susan down about 20 times. They also enjoyed the Lazy River, much more to Susan's liking.
